Major railway stations in Bengaluru are being modernized to provide world-class facilities and a better travel experience.
Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station – Redevelopment work worth ₹485 crore is in progress. Target completion: October 2026.
Yesvantpur Railway Station – Redevelopment work worth ₹370 crore is under progress. Target completion: December 2026.
KSR Bengaluru Railway Station – The master plan is under progress with an estimated cost of ₹1,370 crore.
These projects will improve passenger amenities, station infrastructure, and overall railway services in Bengaluru.
Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka
The Rail Wheel Factory at Yelahanka continues to strengthen India's railway manufacturing under the Make in India initiative.
Third Axle Machining Line is commissioned.
Production capacity has increased from 90,000 axles to approximately 1,12,000 axles per year.
The factory is at the forefront of promoting prime minister Modi's Make in India initiative, reducing imports and achieving self- reliance (Atmanirbhar Bharat) in the railway sector.

Apart from various other stations, MoS visited Kalaburagi, Tumakuru, Solapur, Arasikere, Birur, Bhubaneswar and Puri, Alnavar, Belagavi, Khanapur, Amritsar, Ekta Nagar, Kozhikode, Madgaon, Bangarpet, Bidadi, Ramanagarm and Tiruchirapalli Railway station and inspected the progress of renovation under Amrit Bharat station scheme (ABSS). He has also dedicated renovated chakrapalli, Oorgaum, Coromandel Railway station to the nation.
He is determined to in Bangalore (287KM) with estimated cost of Rs 81,000 crore in order to ease out traffic congestion on roads.
