The then MLA V. Somanna worked with special dedication to realize the long-standing demand of the people of Govindarajanagar assembly constituency for the construction of a separate police station. He implemented this important project in continuous coordination with the police department with the aim of further strengthening the safety, peace and law and order of the people of the constituency.
The establishment of a separate police station has made it possible to provide prompt police service to the public, and it has been possible to give greater priority to crime control and public security. V. Somanna has shown through his work that development is not just about the construction of roads and buildings; the protection of people's lives, property and peace is also equally important.
V. Somanna, as the elected representative of the constituency, has undertaken a significant initiative by transforming the five decade old Magadi Road Police Station into a modern, well-equipped facility. The new building provides a better working environment for police personnel while strengthening the maintenance of law and order.
The ground floor houses the Law & Order Wing, Traffic Police Wing, Sub-Inspector's room, Computer and Records Room, and the PSI cabin.
The first floor accommodates the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Division), the Crime Wing, Administrative Section, Counseling Hall, and the DCP's chamber.
The second floor includes a Control Room and a Gymnasium, while the entire building is equipped with elevator (lift) facilities.
This modern facility now brings the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Division), the Magadi Road Police Station, and the Traffic Police Station together under one roof, ensuring greater efficiency and improved public service.
